Military Counseling

Service members face different stressors than the general population. I have worked with the military population for many years both locally and abroad.

For veterans, I have been the adventure coordinator for the last seven years for a program for Veterans, and their family members called Warriors Rock.

How do I start with counseling?

You can either submit a question to the counselor online and request an appointment or fill out the intake form and the counselor will call you to discuss an appointment time.

Counseling begins with a first visit, called an “intake session”. This provides an opportunity for you and your therapist to discuss the history of your difficulty, and formulate a plan to get you back on track. Your counselor can help you decide an effective course of action, and answer any questions you may have about counseling.

This is a good opportunity for you to make sure that the counselor is a good “fit” for you.
