Equine Assisted Psychotherapy incorporates horses experientially for mental and behavioral health therapy and personal development. It is a collaborative effort between myself the client and horse to address therapy goals.

I have loved and have been around horses my entire life; I trained and used them on our working cattle ranch so it was a natural extension to use them when I became a Counselor.

I have been involved with equine therapy for over ten years and worked with horses my entire life. I love the joy that horses give people because they are so intuitive.

Equine Therapy involves activities such as grooming, feeding, haltering and leading a horse, and riding. Both during the activity and after the client has finished working with the horse, I can observe and interact with the client in order to identify behavior patterns and process thoughts and emotions in a safe environment.
